Collaborations

Learning More Together

AUTOlab works in collaboration with other interested parties to find solutions that support mass transportation, last-mile services, hybrid on-demand and scheduled services, vehicle sharing systems, innovative autonomous vehicle services, and other means of moving through tomorrow’s smart cities. We share study findings through internal reports and peer-review journals in accordance with collaboration agreements.

Our current interests are:

  • New technologies ready for application in urban transportation and logistics systems

  • Real world data and know-how

  • Opportunities to field test algorithms we develop

We offer our experience in modeling and developing solutions to complex optimization problems necessitated by emerging technologies and new business models. When necessary, the lab can draw upon expertise throughout the university.

Potential collaboration frameworks include:

  • Joint applications to academic-industry funding schemes

  • Direct financial support of graduate research students

  • Bi-directional exchange of real-world data, know-how and state-of-the-art knowledge resulting from academic research
